Introduction
B.R Hills Wildlife Sanctuary is located between the Western and the Eastern Ghats and the place is ideal for the territory of various wild animals. The wild animals stay in this place safely and you can enjoy the virtuous nature where civilization has not touched and thus innocence resides in every corner. The river Cauvery flows and thus that bring life to the forest area.
Description
The wildlife sanctuary is situated at the height of 5,091 feet above the sea level. The place is ideal for locating wild animals in their habitat. The lush green vegetation, the rich forest life, chirping of the birds will surely make your day and you can easily enjoy the spirit of nature in this place. The sanctuary posses a wonderful blend of Bilgiri Rangaswamy and Male Mahadeshwar ranges are the main undulating area of the place and you can enjoy the hill area laden with wild animals. Gaurs, chitals, bears, elephants, panthers and tigers are the main attractive features in this place and you can easily spot your favorite animal in this sanctuary and locate them in their respective locale.
How to reach
The best time to visit this place is June to October and you can avail Bangalore Airport is the closest airport and well connected not only by domestic flights but by international flights also. Apart from that you can access the nearest railway junction in Bangalore. If you want to observe the inner life of the state then you can easily take the road route which is 100 kms away from the sanctuary. Mysore is just 90 kms away from the wildlife sanctuary.
