In 1956, Rao Dhir Singh, created the Shahpura House, once residence of erstwhile rulers and scion of the Shekhawat clan of Rajputs. Rao Dhir Singh has converted the house into a hotel and the doors have been flung open to the visitors from all over the world. Rare among hotels it has remained a family home, where the members of the erstwhile ruling family welcome you personally as their honored guest.

The rooms at Shahpura House are very much like the ones that were used by the royalties of Shahpura family. The rooms are spacious with elegant colonial furniture, along with all modern amenities having their own individual character. Most of them are air - conditioned and all have attached bathrooms.

The house is the very fine example of Shekhawati frescos and architecture. The family portraits add to the charm of this family hotel where tradition still runs strong. Like many historic houses, Shahpura house is curious mixture of the old and the new.
