Organized by the Ministry of Overseas Indian Affairs and Confederation of Indian Industry, Pravasi Bharatiya Divas is an annual event held to recognize and reward the contributions of Indian Diaspora who have excelled at in their selected fields. The event is held in the month of January and is usually a three-day affair. India Profile offers to give you online information on Program of Pravasi Bharatiya Divas 2008, India.
Pravasi Bharatiya Divas 2008, will be held from January 7th to 9th in New Delhi and will be inaugurated by Dr. Manmohan Singh the honorable Prime Minister of India. The valedictory session of the event will also see the esteemed presence of the President of India, Mrs. Pratibha Patil.
The program of Pravasi Bharatiya Divas 2008 would include discussions and speeches, but also food fests, exhibitions and entertainment evenings. The aim of Pravasi Bharatiya Divas is to bring the expertise and knowledge of Indian Diaspora and integrating it with the development process of India. Nearly 2000 delegates from all over the world would be taking part in the event.
