Day 1: Kathmandu
On arriving at the Kathmandu airport, meet our representative who'll escort you to one of our listed hotels. Check-in at the hotel to relax in the cozy comforts of the hotel room. In the evening attend the briefing program which is followed by a leisurely walk to explore the nearby area of Kathmandu. Later return to the hotel for enjoying a lavish dinner and a comfortable overnight stay.
Day 2: Kathamandu
On the morning of the 2nd day of your Kailash Mansarovar Yatra by Road, enjoy the sumptuous breakfast served in the hotel, after which you may opt for the Himalayan mountain flight tour.
Later in the day start off for a sightseeing tour of Kathmandu including a visit to Bodnath Stupa, Swayambhunath temple and the Budha Nikanth. Also attend the prayer ceremony at the Pashupathinath Temple.
You may also pay a visit to the neo-classical historic garden situated in the midst of the Kathmandu city along with a visit to Kumari Chowk. The place is held in high esteem by the devotees and is famous for being home to a virgin girl.
The evening is free for shopping and packing activities. Dinner and overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 3: Katmandu � Nyalam
Today post breakfast, move out for a breathtaking drive to reach Kodari traversing the winding roads of Dhulikhel.
On reaching Kodari, the frontier town of Nepal, enjoy a short walk to the Mount Kailash Parvat friendship bridge after which resume the drive to Zhangmu. The place is located at a distance of 145 kms from Kathmandu and is considered as the gateway to Tibet, China.
Upon arrival in Zhangmu, complete the immigration formalities to enter Tibet and continue for a three hour journey to Nyalam. Traverse the beautiful winding roads to reach Nyalam. As you reach Nyalam, get accommodated at one of our listed hotels to enjoy dinner and overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 4: Nyalam
The 4th day of the tour is free for relaxing and acclimatizing to the high altitude weather conditions at Nyalam. The day is free for leisure activities.
Later in the day proceed to enjoy a short walk to explore the scenic beauty sprinkled in Nyalam. Enjoy exploring these less crowded roads which make you forget about the hustle and bustle of the city.
In the evening return to the hotel to enjoy a lip-smacking sumptuous dinner and a comfortable overnight stay.
Day 05: Nyalam � Dongba
Next day in the morning post breakfast, get started for the first long driving day. Traverse through the winding roads to reach the picturesque land of Dongba.
The place is famous for its placid lakes, Peku-Tso, Labug-Land and the sites of nomads chasing a large herd of sheep and yaks.
In the afternoon hours, the tourists will traverse the Brahmaputra River before reaching Dongba. On reaching Dongba, check-in at one of our listed hotels to enjoy a sumptuous dinner and a comfortable overnight stay.
Day 06: Dongba � Mansarovar
After enjoying a lip-smacking breakfast, leave Dongba to reach Mansarovar. After enjoying seven hours long drive, step out on the pious land of Mansarovar.
Attend the Pooja and Hawan at the auspicious Mansarovar Lake. Enjoy attending the Mansarovar Parikrama by the vehicle.
Stay in the well equipped tents set on the banks of the Masarovar Lake.
Day 07: Mansarovar � Darchen
On the 7th day of the tour choose the special point to take an auspicious dip in the holy Mansarovar Lake. After the dip, attend Pooja and Hawan ceremony being conducted around the holy lake.
Later in the day enjoy a Parikarma of the Mansarovar Lake by the Land Cruiser. The rest of the day is free for attending other spiritual activities.
In the evening leave to reach Darchan and enjoy an overnight stay in one of our listed hotels.
Day 08: Darchen � Diraphuk
Today post breakfast starts your first journey to the Kailash Parikrama. Drive up to Yumdwari after which you will be required to walk for about 6 to 7 hours continuously.
Travelers who cannot walk for such long hours can hire horses and yaks at an extra cost. The yaks will carry all your goods and equipments.
In the night enjoy a comfortable overnight stay at Diraphuk in the mud houses and tents which ever is available.
Day 09: Diraphuk � Zhulthulphuk
9th day of the Kailash Mansarovar Yatra is the toughest as we will head to cross the Dolma-La Pass. The weather condition at the Dolma-La Pass is very unpredictable and the probability of snowstorm is also higher.
We'll start our journey as early as possible. Mount Kailash Parvat is one of the highest points on the trek.
Now we descend towards the steady fields of Zuthulpuk. The descent to the valley below is steep after which the walk becomes relaxing and pleasant.
Enjoy the trek while you traverse through the gentle slopes over the grassy fields. Later in the evening enjoy staying at one of our listed hotels in Zuthulpuk.
Day 10: Zhulthulphuk � Paryang
Next morning enjoy Darshan of the East Face of Kailash followed by a trek to Kuber Kund. Enjoy a visit to the Kuber Kund, the magnificent lake.
Later in the day enjoy trekking to Zhulthul Park. After the visit descend to reach Darchen and drive to Mansarovar. Do not forget to fill up the sacred water in the bottles which is kept in every home and is used in various religious practices.
In the latter part of the day descend back to Kathmandu following the same route. On reaching get accommodated at one of our listed hotels to enjoy sumptuous dinner and overnight stay.
Day 11: Paryang � Nyalam
Next morning post breakfast, move out to reach Nyalam. This is the last day of your stay in the Tibet region so make the most of it. As you reach Nyalam check-in at one of our listed hotels.
Rest of the day is free for leisure activities. Enjoy dinner and a comfortable overnight stay at the guesthouse.
Day 12: Nyalam � Katmandu
Next morning after breakfast leave to fulfill the custom formalities. After the custom formalities get completed sit back in the car to enjoy a scenic drive back to Kathmandu. After the five hours long drive reach Kathmandu and check-in at one of our listed hotels for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 13: Departure
On the 13th day of the Kailash Mansarovar Yatra after breakfast, the day is free for last minute shopping . Later in the day our representative will arrange a smooth transfer to the Tribhuvan International airport of Kathmandu to board a flight back home or onward destination.
You may even have the option to extend your tour for a couple of days to explore Nepal or enjoy a Himalayan mountain flight. You can even plan an excursion to the Muktinath tour and a road trip to Manakamana.
