Destinations: Delhi- Agra - Bharatpur- Delhi
Day 01: Arrive Delhi
Welcome to the Delhi airport. Here you will be met by the executive
who will escort you to the hotel. Spend the rest of the day
at leisure. Just relax at the hotel getting over your jet lag,
or explore the nearby places of interest on your own.
Dinner and overnight stay will be at the hotel in Delhi.
Day 02: Delhi - Agra - Bharatpur
After breakfast at the hotel, we will drive to Agra - the city
of the Taj (203km-4 ½ hrs) to reach there by noon. At
Agra we visit the world-famous white marble monument Taj Mahal
made by the Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan and the magnificent Agra
Fort made by emperor Akbar.
Later, we proceed to Keoladeo Ghana Bird Sanctuary at Bharatpur
(65km-1hr), en-route visiting the now deserted 16th century
Mughal capital Fatehpur Sikri. At Fatehpur Sikri, you will see
the famous Bulund Darwaza (the highest gateway in the world),
the Paanch Mahal and the Tomb of Sheikh Salim Chisti- a renowned
Sufi saint of India.
On arrival our at the Bharatpur Bird Sanctuary we check into
the Forest Lodge/Resort. Enjoy dinner and stay overnight at
the Lodge/ Resort at Bharatpur.
Day 03: Bharatpur Bird Sanctuary
Get up early in the morning. Enjoy an exciting morning bird
watching tour on foot or by a boat ride through the fresh water
marshes to get a closer view of the nestling colonies of the
birds in the company of your naturalist. In the afternoon after
lunch, you can enjoy a rickshaw or a bicycle ride through the
sanctuary to explore the rich and diverse avifauna of the park.
Dinner and overnight stay will be at the Lodge/ Resort at Bharatpur.
Day 04: Bharatpur Bird Sanctuary
Wake up to a 2nd full day of bird watching in the sanctuary,
to make up for what you missed on the first day while clicking
away your camera to carry back home some unforgettable memories
of the Bharatpur Bird Sanctuary. Spot a wide variety of birds
and wildlife that never fail its visitors.
Enjoy dinner and stay overnight at the Lodge/ Resort at Bharatpur.
Day 05: Bharatpur - Delhi - Tour Concludes
After breakfast at the lodge, set out on a last morning visit
to the park. Later, we drive back to Delhi. On arrival at Delhi,
you will be transferred to the airport/railway station for your
onward destination or way back home as per your convenience.
