Prayer Hall at Bahai Temple.

"My religion consists of a humble admiration of the illimitable superior spirit who reveals himself in the slight details we are able to perceive with our frail and feeble mind." - Albert Einstein.

The Bah' faith came into existence just a century ago. It was founded by Bah'ullah which literally means The Glory of God, and that the faith rests on the ideology that all humanity is one and universal. Thus worship in the Bahai temple can be made by people of all religion and class. Actually, there are seven places of worship of the Bahai Temple, and the latest has been established at Delhi.

Since the shape of the temple is like a lotus flower, it is also known as Lotus Temple. It is an elegant glittering white structure that has 27 petals, arranged in three along the nine face of the edifice. Crafted with white concrete each petal is clad with white marble in its exterior.

The Prayer Hall is devoid of any idol or image. Not even a clergy is present, and the temple performances are also devoid of any ceremonies. There are short prayer services, in which the holy scriptures of the Bah' Faith is chanted. Sometimes, however the holy scriptures of other religion is also read out. The main idea behind the prayer service is that one should communicate with the creator.
