A thin metal tube called the cannula is inserted though the incision make on the skin. Another technique is ‘tumescent liposuction’ when a excess amount of fluid is injected.
Dry Liposuction
Dry Liposuction method does not use any fluid while the cannula is used in the similar technique as in Wet Liposuction. This method causes more bleeding and bruises and is not used much.
Ultrasound Liposuction
Ultrasound technique uses the sound waves to break the fat which is firm before it is removed.
The treated area is firmly bandaged and one is fitted with an elasticated support garment. This helps in reducing swelling and give the shape to the body.
