Mysteries of Himalayas - Amarnath Cave

The cave of Amarnath is located at a height of around 3952 Mtrs. It is one of the holiest places of the Hindus and is home to the Shiva Lingam which is made of ice and increases or decreases as per the position of the Moon.

Day 01: Arrive Delhi
Land at the airport in Delhi and go to the hotel.

Day 02: Delhi
Make a sightseeing tour of Delhi after breakfast. Go to the Birla Mandir, Qutab Minar, Red Fort, Jama Masjid, and Humayun�s Tomb and so on. Also stop at the Connaught Place, President�s House, India Gate and so on. See the Son-et-Lumerie at Red Fort in the evening. Stay the night at the hotel.

Day 03: Delhi � Srinagar (by flight)
Have breakfast at the hotel and go to the airport to board a flight to Srinagar. Land there and go to the hotel. In the afternoon, make sightseeing tours of the city. Come to the houseboat and stay overnight.

Day 04: Srinagar � Local sightseeing (50 kms)
Make local sightseeing trips and see the Shalimar Bagh, Nishat Bagh, Mughal Gardens and other places. Enjoy sailing on the beautiful Dal Lake. Stay for the night at the houseboat.

Day 05: Srinagar � Pahalgam (93 kms- drive)
Depart from Srinagar and go to Pahalgam which is around 93 kms away. On the route, stop at the Mattan Temple, Saffron fields, and Avantipur ruins and so on. Experience the scenic beauty of Pahalgam. Stay for the night at the hotel.

Day 06: Pahalgam � Chandanwari (2895 M) (16 kms drive) � Sheshnagh (12 kms trek)
Have breakfast and go to Chandanwani by car. Your trekking trip starts here. Trek to Sheshnagh through the Pishoo Ghati pass. You will stay in the tents at Sheshnagh.

Day 07: Sheshnagh (3377 M) � Panchtarni (14 kms trek)
In the morning, trek towards Mahagunas. Later descend to Panchtarni which is located at the foot of mount Bhairva. Stay for the night at the tents.

Day 08: Panchtarni (3657 M) � {Amarnath (3953 M) 6 kms trek � Baltal 4 hrs trek}
After you have breakfast, go to the holy cave of Amarnath and see the Ice Lingam. Thousands of people come here. Descend to Baltal. This walking journey takes around 3 to 4 hours. Stay at the camps.

Day 09: Baltal � Sonmarg � Srinagar (113 kms drive)
Make driving trips to Sonmarg which is one of the lovely spots of Kashmir valley. It is known as the doorway to Ladakh. Late drive to Srinagar from Sonmarg. Stay at houseboat.

Day 10: Srinagar � Delhi (by air)
Go to Srinagar and take the flight to Delhi. At Delhi, relax at the hotel and later go to the international airport for the onward flight.
