Ladakh with Tsomoriri Lake

This tour gives you an idea of the splendor of the Ladakh region and Jammu and Kashmir. Go to the monasteries of Leh and drive through the maximum motorable pass in the world. Also visit the Tsomoriri Lake, which is also a wonderful place for bird watching trips.

Day 01: Arrive Delhi
Come to the Delhi international airport and check into the hotel.

Day 02: Delhi
Have breakfast and take a sightseeing tour of Delhi. You can go to Jama Masjid, Red Fort, and Humayun�s Tomb, Birla Mandir, Qutub Minar and other tourist spots. Go to the India Gate, Connaught Place, and President�s House and so on. You can also see the light and sound show at the Red Fort in the evening.

Day 03: Delhi � Leh (flight)
Take a morning flight to Leh and transfer to the hotel after you arrive. Get accustomed to the weather and relax. Take a short stroll around the Leh Bazaar in the evening.

Day0 4: Leh � Monasteries
Make trips to the well known monasteries in and around Leh. Take part in the Morning Prayer ceremony at the Thiksey monastery. Later go to the Hemis Monastery, which is one of the ancient monasteries in the world. After coming back stop at the Shey Palace.

Day0 5: Leh � Chumathang � Tsomoriri (240 kms)
Drive to the Chumathang. You will have to stop at Upshi for checking purposes. A number of medical hot springs are located here. After a short drive, go to the Maha Bridge and en route, visit the Sumdah village, which is around 55 kms away. Later drive to the Tsomoriri Lake which is famous for bird watching. You can see Brahmini duck, crested grebe, bar headed goose and so on. Stay overnight at the camps.

Day 06: Tsomoriri
In the morning, go to the Korzok village and see the ancient gompas. The sprawling barley fields of Korzok are a great sight. Towards the afternoon, visit the local areas and stay at the tent.

Day 07: Tsomoriri -Korzok - Puga � Tsokar � Tanglangla � Leh
Come to the village in Mahe and later make trips to the Puga Valley. Proceed on the trip to the Tsokar via the Polokongka pass. Stop by Tsokar, which is a small lake. Visit the Thugke gompa as well. Drive to Leh by passing through the Tanglangla pass. Spend the night at Leh.

Day 08: Leh
Undertake rafting tours on the Indus River from Phe to Nimu. Have lunch by the banks of the river. Come back to the hotel and stay.

Day 09: Leh � Khardongla pass � Leh (85 Kms)
Go for excursion trips to the Khardongla pass. This is the highest motorable road in the world at an elevation of 5600 mtrs. Enjoy spectacular view of the mountain ranges. Come to the hotel and spend the night.

Day 10: Leh � Delhi (flight)
Reach the airport and take a flight to Delhi. After spending some time at the hotel, go to the international airport and take the subsequent flight.
