 History of City Palace in Jaipur
 City Palace in Jaipur was the residence of the royal family 
                  of Jaipur. This complex of palaces in Jaipur was built by Maharaja 
                  Jai Singh II of the Kacchawaha clan of Rajput. Though his successors 
                  made several striking changes to the complex later, it displays 
                  a rich combination of Mughal and Rajput architecture. The premises 
                  of the palace comprise courtyards, gardens and buildings and 
                  preserves varieties of Rajasthani fineries like armors and weapons
 
 Features of City Palace in Jaipur
 -   The Sawai Man Singh II museum, is on the ground floor 
                  of Chandra Mahal in City Palace in Jaipur. There are many rare 
                  artifacts including miniature paintings in the Rajasthani and 
                  Mughal styles, courtly robes, weaponry, armor, carpets which 
                  decked the palace floors and old manuscripts.
 -   The Krishna Temple is located in the Jai Niwas Garden, 
                  which is towards the north of the palace.
 -   You will find two giant silver urns in the outer courtyard 
                  or Sarvatobhadra. Considered to be the largest silver objects 
                  in the world, these urns were built for Maharaja Sawai Madho 
                  Singh II because he carried these urns filled with water from 
                  the Ganges River when he went to England.
 -   Mubarak Mahal was built by Maharaja Madho Singh II 
                  in the 19th century, which contains the textile section of the 
                  Maharaja Sawai Man Singh II Museum. You must notice the gateway 
                  with grand brass door opening to a courtyard or the Diwan-I-Khas 
                  or 'Hall of Private Audience'- a hall with a double row of columns 
                  with scalloped arches. 'Diwan-E-Aam' or the 'Hall of Public 
                  Audience', is decorate with Afghan and Persian carpets, miniature 
                  paintings and astronomical manuscripts in Persian and Sanskrit.
 -   While the Govind Devji Temple is situated in the middle 
                  of the Chandra Mahal and the Badal Mahal, there is a network 
                  of fountains on the path between the two palaces.
 -   Hawa Mahal displays unusually grand architecture and 
                  is located slightly distant from the main complex.
