Introduction
Started in 1955, Nagarhole Wildlife Sanctuary houses a large variety of wild and endangered animals. Nagarhole Wildlife Sanctuary is believed to be one of the best wildlife reserves of India. Originally, the wildlife resort was the hunting area of the rulers of Mysore.
Nagarhole Wildlife Sanctuary has a large population of elephants and bison. Other animals found in the reserve include 250 different species of birds, cheetal, spotted deer, four-horned antelope, hyena, otter are among a few.
