The front hall of the Valluvar Kottam has a bas relief that depicts the 133 chapters of his well known work, Thirukkural. To make this, over 3,000 blocks of stone have been used. The Valluvar Kottam has an auditorium that is supposed to be one of the largest in Asia and can accommodate as many as 4,000 people. The 101 feet high temple shaped as a chariot, which is a replica of the famous temple care of Thiruvarur in Tamil Nadu, has a life size image of the poet.
