Jama Masjid

This mosque was built by Shahjahan and its construction took 6 years. Completed in the year 1956, the Jama Masjid is built of red sandstone. Meena Bazaar

As you get down the massive staircase of the eastern gateway of the Jama Masjid you come across the Meena Bazaar. This bazaar sells a wide variety of items like burqas, caps for Muslim men, pictures of religious places. There are also several wayside food stalls at the Meena Bazaar. You cannot afford to miss out on these dishes that have a unique favor.

Red Fort

The Red Fort was built by Shahjahan when he decided to transfer his capital to Shahjahanabad. Built of red sandstone, the fort had several palaces and buildings. Unfortunately the British destroyed nearly 75% of the fort at the time of the Great revolt of 1857. The palaces and the gateways that survive reflect the architectural and technical brilliance attained during the Mughal period.

Chandni Chowk

This is the street that ideally reflects the Indian spirit. Built three hundred years ago, the street is famous for being the confluence of the country's varied cultures and traditions. It is rich in diversity as it houses the place of worship of several religions. There are traditional havelis and eating place that are years old in Chandni Chowk.
