Introduction to Jamali Kamali Fast Facts

Jamali Kamali is the mosque and tomb near the Archeological Survey of India Park. There are two marble graves located within the courtyard of the mosque. One of Jamali, the pet name of Shaikh Fazhullah also known as Jalal Khan. He was the favorite poet and saint of sultan Sikander Lodhi and Humayun, during whose reign he lived. The other grave is of Kamali whose identity is not yet discovered.

Address: It is located on the western side of the Mehrauli,Gurgaon Road, in the Archeological Survey Park. It is about 300 meters south of the tomb of Balban.

Timings: it is open on all days, open for tourists from till sunset.

Admission fee: free admission, open to all

How to Reach: There are local buses from various points in the city that go to the Jamali Kamali in south Delhi. Tourists can also take auto rickshaws, taxis or metro rail.
