Special Events, Fatehpuri Masjid

Introduction

Fatehpuri Masjid is a popular tourist location on Chandni Chowk. Built by Fatehpuri Begum, Shah Jahan's wife in 1650, Fatehpuri Masjid is located on the western end of Chandni Chowk. The single dome and the imposing minarets are exclusive to the Fatehpuri Masjid, Delhi.

There are many nearby tourist locations like Jama Masjid, Rajghat, Lothian Cemetery, Salimgarh Fort and St James Church.

Special Events, Fatehpuri Masjid

Some of the special events celebrated in the Fatehpuri Masjid are Id-ul-Fitr and Id-ul-Zuha. Devotees from different parts of the state and country visit the mosque. The festivals are celebrated with much zeal and enthusiasm.
