The heritage hotels were all superb and it was a pleasure to experience such grandeur and opulence; especially at the Lake Palace and Udaipur.

Overall, we were very impressed with the tour organised for us by Rakesh and will recommend your tour company to anyone we know travelling to India. We have left India with the feeling that we must return to see more of your beautiful country.

Dear All - It doesn't seem possible that 2 weeks have gone by since we were all together. And what wonderful days those days were! Along with missing all of you terribly, these are some other things I miss:

Sleeping in a tent, eating with our hands, rickshaw races, playing chicken on the "highways", sacred cows, not-so-sacred dogs, the best in Indian food, an elephant ride, cocktails at Willingdon Sports Club, a lovely dinner at the home of Gatem and Sunaina, the bas-relief map of India, Rakesh, the Taj Mahal, pillow menus, the snake charmer, pashminas, pashminas, pashminas, trains, planes, buses and tuk tuks, dancing to the croonings of the Don Stevens Trio, valets and butlers, Happy Hours!, Naan, T 17 with her kill, being everywhere that Richard Gere had been, Mr. Oberoi, cow pie briquettes, our bus driver and his side-kick, so much trash, walking through the village outside Devigarh, bargaining our way through India, 5 vehicles abreast on a 2-lane road, cocktails with the Maharajah, a look at the Indian art market at Saffron Art, rugged-up and rugged-out, photos,photos,photos, the bus ride from Hell (and to Agra), the faces of the children, the pyres at Varanasi, cotton candy at our farewell dinner, marble tables for all, precious jewels, interesting pit stops, massages at The Imperial Palace, using a pendulum to decide whether to purchase a rug, colorful Saris everywhere, traffic and horns, the friendly Indians, first class train travel, complete with a shoeless "snorer", so many people, so much noise, lost Blackberry, taking a shower in the airport at Frankfurt, Umaid Bahwan Palace, Amarvilas, Vanyavilas, Raj Vilas and OMG Udaivilas, Forts, Palaces, Temples and Tombs - and these are just a few of my favorite things.

It was an amazing adventure and one that was made all the better because we shared it with all of you. Enormous thank yous go to Gail and Don for planning a spectacular trip and for making it worry-free for all. Every detail was well planned and expertly executed. Rakesh was the best traveling companion. The sights, sounds and smells will stay within our senses for a lifetime.

Thank you all for making this a trip full of fabulous sights, lots of laughs, great insights, treasured memories, precious friendships and just enough wine!

Hi Guys,

I would like to thank you for making our holiday go well. Other than the first few hitches, it went really well, and we loved the tour.

I apologise for being upset in your office on the 22nd. I rather lost my temper and had visions of the entire trip being like that, but the driver we had in dehli for the rest of that day was lovely, so was the guide, and the driver we got in Bhopal was really excellent too. He had good humour, he was a careful driver, and was always on time. I have no idea what his name was but he did a really excellent job.

The hotels were all good quality, the Palace hotel in Mandu was a delightful surprise as we had no idea we were staying somewhere so wonderful, and the sights on the tour were excellent. When we finished the tour we went back to dehli (our flight was one of the ones rerouted due to the pilots strike but the airport staff got us onto another plane back to dehli!) we took a tour of the golden triangle and neither of us liked it as much as the central india classical tour.

I have recommended your company to various friends who are thinking of travelling to India in the future.

The best guide was Bobby in Corbett with the Jeep Safaris, took care of us, guides in other cities were also good.

The Elephant ride in forest outskirts was unforgettable.

The interesting part of our trip was Undoubtedly the Jeep Safaris in Corbett, That is mainly what we came for particularly to see the elephants and we saw many.
We would like to particularly compliment the incredible and kind behavior of the guide Bobby in Corbett and our wonder full Drive Ramesh who was with us all the time, without them the holiday would have not meant so much to us, also we thank to the people In Corbett Hideway who stayed up with us all night in the hospital when my husband was ill.

Moreover, we wish to thank you and Mr. Rakes Agrawal for the good organisation and schedule for recent our trip, which we enjoyed immensely. Everything worked out perfectly and Indidan Holiday services have been outstanding - as always.

As mentioned during our discussion in Delhi, we strongly advise you not to reccommend the Oberoi Maidens for accommo-dation purposes. Main reasons are: poor breakfast choice/service, rooms without windows, no direct access to regulate air conditioning in the room (done through reception).

Again, Indidan Holiday services have been great! Thank you so much.

Looking into the 2010, we certainly wish to come back to GOA. Can you pls quote the going rate (Mar 2010) for a Lagoon Suite for 7 nights (with breakfast) starting 27 March 2010. At this point, we do not know whether a round trip somewhere will be on the agenda or not.

Sorry this is so long overdue, but I just wanted to express my gratitude for the service during our trip to Delhi/Agra. We found everything to be wonderful and especially appreciate you being able to rearrange our tours due to my husband's illness. Just to give the feedback according to your form:

Hotels: Amazing! I never met more hospitable and caring staff and the accommodations were gorgeous.

Tour Guides: The gentleman who took us around Delhi was so knowledgeable. It was a pleasure to talk with him. Wish the tour could have been longer!

Transport: The drivers were very courteous and safe--even in that thick fog! Our driver to Agra was great to talk with as well.

The only suggestion I can think of is to maybe offer some different types of shopping stops according to the traveler's budget. The rug shop and marble shop in Agra were amazing and educational, but mostly out of our price range.

Not as good as most of the Taj hotels, but a nice place to visit.

GATEWAY, Varanasi
No longer named Taj, but still in the Taj Group. A very good hotel. Hightly recommended.

LE MERIDIEN, Delhi
This is India in the XXIth century ! High international standards.

CASTLE MANDAWA, Mandawa
Nice location. No more than 3 stars hotel for service.

RAJ VILAS PALACE, Bikaner
Don�t send any people in this hotel ! It�s not clean, the food in not good, the breakfast is poor.
We had diner at the �Laxmi Niwas Palace�, highly recommended.

GORBANH PALACE, Jaisalmer
Very good hotel.

TAJ HARI MAHAL, Jodhpur
One of the best we had during the journey.

SHIV NIWAS, Udaipur
Nice location, fabulous diner at the pool side, but� the room was small and we expected a better furniture in such a place.

SABA HAVELI, Jaipur
We are very sorry to have complained about this hotel. Mr. Sanjay Rai and people working with him are very lovely. We were exhausted when we arrived in this crowded huge city and we where very much disappointed by the outside walls. We think it would be worth making the front wall more attractive, with some plants and flowers in the first courtyard instead of old cars. The second court yard and the dining room are much more pleasant. It�s a 3 stars hotel.
Samode Haveli, where we had diner, is a 4 stars hotel.

GATEWAY, Agra
Nice place for a Gateway hotel, not for a Taj hotel. It�s good they have changed the name. Nice view over the Tah Mahal� when there is no fog !

GUIDE
Fortunately, we didn�t have any guide. We don�t like travelling with a guide.
Mr. Devender Singh gave us the explanations we needed.

TRANSPORT
Mr. Devender Singh is a very good driver. He speaks very good English. He is very helpful.
He understood very quickly what we needed, which kind of tourists we where.
A high quality person !

TRIP EXPERIENCE
The trip justified our expectations.
The program was good, nothing to change.
The most memorable stops where Jaisalmer and Udaipur, two small cities where it was possible to walk.
We don�t like so much the big cities where you always have to drive from one place to another.

It was very nice to meet you there in your office on my first day in India. Mono Lal was also very kind to me -- an excellent choice for meeting me at the airport! Say hello to him for me. Tell him I very much enjoyed my trip in the tuk-tuk back from your office to my hotel. Several other young people in tuk-tuks laughed to see me, obviously a western tourist, riding in a tuk-tuk. I took pictures of a couple of them and they came out quite well.

The best hotel, incidentally, was Shree Ram International in Jodhpur. It was in Jodhpur also that I had the best guide, Hari. He had excellent English and was very intelligent and very kind.

The end of the trip was complicated, we spent 10 days in Paris, and we had snow 2 days previous departure, so I am recovering now from a bad flew.

SHIV VILAS JAIPUR � the most beautiful location with the worst service we have experienced � complicated � problems with air-conditioning - it was very cold than after 10 telephone calls and a lot of patience they manage to set the room to a normal temperature but was smelling very bad (like burning) � breakfast the coffee was cold and after complaining the bring the coffee cold again � the second day we asked breakfast in the room as we have early departure and they delivered 15 min too late and no coffee and tee ? - we complained with the manager on duty more than once and they were able just to say �sorry� without any try to make things better � gym and spa were a disaster no professional people have been there to help the guests � swimming pool cold water all day.

FATEH PARKASH PALACE UDAIPUR � very interesting locations � perfect service very professional � perfect timing � all great ? beautiful and very comfortable room � good food and professional room service

Greetings for the New Year, I just want to thank Indian holiday for the excellent service provided during our tour, there were some stumbling blocks like the Hotel in Manali and transport from Delhi train station but these issues were followed up immediately and yourself and Vinay were available at all hours to assist. All the guides and drivers were prompt and provided good service except for the one in Delhi who actually robbed us, as he charged us for entrance fees that he had not paid, we did not mind paying the fees, if the beneficiary was the actual tourist attraction, he not only robbed us but also took the money that was actually meant for the Jama Masjid, dealing with a dishonest person is not good for your Company and would impact negatively on future business.

The driver Raj that was assigned to us from Delhi all the way through to Jaipur was excellent, he was very helpful and conducted himself in a very respectful and honest manner, was always ready on time, neat and kept the vehicle in immaculate condition. The guides in Amritsar, Goa and Jaipur were very good; they were very knowledgeable and presented themselves in a professional manner.

Overall we had an excellent tour and we would definitely recommend your services to others in our Country. We also will be returning in the future and will most definitely use your services again.

Thanks once again for the arrangement of our holiday, which we think was nice overall.

As promised, I would like to give you some feedback for the tour.

1. Hotels
Some of the hotels had good standard, especially the Hari Mahal in Jaipur. The other ones had some more or less minor defects that you may want to consider for future tours, as they are probably not really 3-star, or at least not in all rooms. The hotel in Agra was the worst, where we needed to ask for a different room because of the noise level (window couldn't shut). In Jodhpur, there were problems with the hot water and they needed to repair, but the quality of the mattresses was better than average. Udaipur was quite noisy and old, and we had hoped to get a better place in this location.

2. Guides
The guides in most places were knowledgable and could answer most of our questions. We were a bit surprised by their vigorous attempts to bring us to shops. Honestly, it was annoying, and I hope you can control those endeavours better. We understood very quickly that they get commission, and we soon started to sanction their behaviour when it became too annoying. What annoyed us most was that the guide in Delhi did not show us all the sights as listed on the programme. We were also annoyed by the guide in Agra because he refused to meet us at sunrise so that we could see it at the Taj, telling us that it would be foggy etc. In fact, the weather was splendid and we were sorry that we were not more strict in the first place. What we learned was to be very strict in order to get what we think should be self-speaking.

3. Driver
He was very good and drove carefully. We would always take him again.

All in all, thank you for arranging this holiday. We would be interested in doing a tour from Nepal through Sikkim to Bhutan some time in the future. Do you arrange such tours?

Firstly Nihal, our driver. Although Nihal doesn't speak much English he was virtually the perfect driver. Not only excellent at driving in some very difficult circumstances with a superb, calm temperament but he was friendly and whatever we needed to do (stop at ATM's, make unscheduled evening trips) nothing was a bother to him and he couldn't have been more helpful. If we ever visit Rajasthan again we would request him as our driver if at all possible.

Secondly Shailenda who was our tour guide in Bikaner. Excellent knowledge, made everything very interesting and very humourous. We really had a good feeling" after the Bikaner tour with him.

Thirdly Solanki who was our tour guide in Agra. As with Shailenda he was warm, friendly and very knowledgeable.

The other tour guides were all very good too.

I particularly wanted you to thank the lovely young man who collected us from the airport to transfer us to the White House Hotel which had been booked for us by Airmiles! We were horrified at the thought of staying there and as I expect you have heard we walked straight out! (I think at one stage he thought he may have to put us up in his home!)

We did enjoy the upgrade to The Oberoi and were very comfortable there and will not forget their choice of food for breakfast which was unequalled anywhere else � it was really lovely.

We thoroughly enjoyed our tour � I think the sight of a female tiger padding towards us on the road will live with me forever � I was so excited I am not sure I even got a decent photograph.

There is so much to see and enjoy in India I feel we have hardly scratched the surface, so we will be back! We would love to see more of Kerela � the hill stations and cardamom fields � and of course more tiger.

All the arrangements were executed efficiently and the personnel were all attentive and kind to us. Our driver for the major part of the tour (Chennai � Kumarakom) was charming, helpful and a real pleasure to travel with as well as being a calm and careful driver. The guides were informative and friendly. Checking in at all hotels was completely trouble free, and the overall standard was quite in line with our expectations. We opted for 3 to 4 star hotels and would only make one small comment about this. The Hotel Abu Palace in Chennai was probably quite a significant hotel in past times, but is today rather shabby! The personnel are charming, but for a hotel in a large city it is not really very good to have no running hot water in the rooms except between 6 and 10.30 am! Also, it is situated in an area which has little in the way of restaurants.
